By registering to attend an Event managed by Black Sheep Events, you (“You”) agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). If you are registering on behalf of others, you warrant that you have the authority to bind them to these Terms.

1.           Attendee Registration, Cancellation, and Accommodation

Registrations: All registrations, function tickets, and activities are final and payable in full at the time of registration, unless otherwise agreed.

Cancellation Fee: If you are unable to attend due to unforeseen circumstances, Black Sheep Events may provide a refund less a cancellation fee of $100.00, to cover pre-event costs, on receipt of a written request submitted up to 30 days before the Event commencement. Cancellations within 30 days of the Event commencement are non-refundable. A full refund is only applicable in cases of Event Postponement or Cancellation, as per Clause 3 or as required by the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

Accommodation Bookings: Any accommodation booked is payable in full at the time of booking, unless otherwise agreed. Accommodation cancellations are non-refundable unless the booking can be re-sold. In the event of Event Postponement or Cancellation, Black Sheep Events is not liable if the accommodation provider cannot transfer the booking to alternate dates or provide a refund.

Transferability: Registrations may only be transferred to another person with prior written consent from Black Sheep Events.

Accuracy of Information: You must provide complete and accurate registration information. Failure to do so may result in refusal of entry or cancellation of your registration. Please ensure that any accessibility or dietary requirements are provided at the time of registration. Black Sheep Events will not be liable for accommodating requirements not submitted in advance.

2.           Event Changes, Postponement, and Cancellation

Changes: Black Sheep Events reserves the right to change the Event venue, date, speakers, or program details at any time. Attendees will be notified of any changes that may materially impact their attendance.

Postponement: If the Event is postponed, your registration will automatically transfer to the new date. If you are unable to attend the rescheduled Event, you may be eligible for a refund, subject to the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

Cancellation: If the Event is cancelled, attendees are entitled to a refund of paid registration fees, function tickets, and activities, subject to the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Black Sheep Events is not responsible for any travel, accommodation, or other expenses incurred. Attendees are strongly encouraged to obtain appropriate travel insurance to cover any non-refundable expenses.

3.           Attendee Code of Conduct and Safety

Right of Admission: Black Sheep Events reserves the right to refuse admission or eject any person acting in a dangerous, disruptive, or unlawful manner, without refund.

Compliance: Attendees must comply with all venue rules, safety instructions, and health directives.

Prohibited Items: Dangerous goods, illegal substances, and unauthorised promotional materials are prohibited.

4.           Event Photography and Recording

Consent: You acknowledge that the Event may be filmed, photographed, or recorded. You consent to Black Sheep Events using your image, voice, or likeness for promotional purposes, without compensation.

Recording Restrictions: Unauthorised recording, broadcasting, or transmission of audio or video content is prohibited.

5.           Limitation of Liability and Release

Assumption of Risk: Attendees voluntarily assume all risks associated with attending the Event, including personal injury or property damage.

Liability Limit: To the maximum extent permitted by law, Black Sheep Events is not liable for any loss, damage, or injury sustained at the Event, including indirect or consequential loss.

Indemnity: You agree to indemnify and hold Black Sheep Events harmless from any loss, damage, or liability arising from your actions, negligence, or breach of these Terms.

While reasonable steps are taken to engage reputable providers, Black Sheep Events does not control and is not responsible for the independent privacy practices of such third parties.

6.           Privacy

Your personal information will be collected, used, and stored in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Information may be used for Event administration and marketing purposes, subject to your right to opt out.

7.           Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. You submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that State.
